An incredible survival tale from 1869

 I ran across this story in the Nipigon Museum blog. It's about an old, handicapped Ojibwe woman named A-GAT. The story comes from a Hudson Bay Company trader.

It the article it said someone half her age probably would have given up and died. Age and Knowledge!!

I think her family gave up on a very valuable member. I wonder if they went on to suffer from her absence.
