Yes, I think this will work well for us, summer and winter. It is on the south side of the house so it gets all the sun in the winter and conversely will be on the shady side in the summer. We installed a Napoleon high-efficiency wood stove. Having spent most of my life cutting firewood I've always wanted a stove that gets the maximum heating value out of the wood. This stove is so efficient there is no smoke coming from the stack once the fire is going well enough that we can close the draft.
The stove is beautiful as well. I'll post some photos of it later.
